Periodontics

Periodontics is a branch of dentistry concerned with the diseases and treatment of the hard and soft tissues surrounding the teeth. Gum health is as important as dental health. The most common tooth loss is caused by gum problems.

Early-stage gum disease can be prevented with a simple annual tartar and plaque removal. This extends the lifespan of our teeth. Delayed treatment can lead to gum and tooth disease, bone resorption, and bone diseases.

Treatment involves surgery using either laser or conventional methods. Recovery with laser surgery is faster and more successful. Anesthesia is not required for laser surgery.

Symptoms of gum disease:

Bleeding and swelling of the gums
Bleeding breath
Teeth sensitivity
Loose, displaced, and elongated teeth
